Adult Services/MASCO, Inc.

Updated: March 24, 2006

Adult Services
  • The Adult Services Program provides a wide range of habilitation and vocational services for adults with MR/DD. Services are provided in a variety of settings, including three sheltered workshops, supported employment, and a retirement program. Services are individualized and documented on an Individual Plan (IP) by an interdisciplinary team consisting of the adult; his/her parents, guardian or caregiver; and other professionals. When developing the plan, the adult’s choices, desires, and preferences are given greatest priority.

  • Habilitation activities are geared toward increasing the independence and quality of life for each individual. Activities may include training or assistance with the activities of daily living, social and recreational experiences, and functional academics. Ancillary services such as speech therapy or occupational therapy are available when needed.

MASCO, Inc.
  • MASCO, Inc., a nonprofit company, operates as the business entity for the sheltered workshops under contract with the MCBMRDD. MASCO, Inc. employs adults enrolled with the MCBMRDD.
